Live the History!
Live the History!
Visit several of Salem's finest homes and gardens, two of which are Underground Railroad sites. This is a rare opportunity to learn the rich history of these architectural gems and see how owners lovingly care for them.
Drive to the curb at 239 South Lundy (outside of our gift shop) to pick up an entrance pass and program with a map to the seven houses. Non-ticket holders can purchase tickets at the curb for $20 cash or check on tour days.
You will provide your own transportation to the selected sites, parking at the curbside or nearby. Volunteers will be at each home to guide and present you with interesting facts. ‘Plein air’ (outdoor) artists will also be at each site in cooperation with pARTy!, the arts festival.
Each guest can visit each home once during the two-day tour.
Tour guests and the general public are invited to come into our Meeting Room/Gift Shop for light refreshments, an art exhibit, and shopping.
